At the end of October we took the car and drove towards Kallithea on the western side of the island. When we were heading towards Kallithea we turned right up the mountainside and drove a pretty good gravel road for about 20 minutes until we arrived at Agia Paraskevi where we parked at a small chapel under fantastic trees. We then walked up the mountainside along trail 7, Samos Hikes – Panagia Makrini. Just over 25 minutes of hiking, a fantastic hike of just under 250 meters of elevation gain on a good trail.
Once up at Panigia Makrini we were able to take a nice break on one of the benches and enjoy the view, the landscape and the church.
