Here you can read more about the beautiful beaches of Samos near Pantheon. Just below Pantheon, in the small fishing village of Ormos, there is a beautiful pebble beach.
If one wishes to explore the surrounding area, from 1.5 km to 9 km, both east and west of Ormos, other beautiful and scenic beaches are located. The easiest way to get there is by car, vespa, bicycle, or by taking a brisk walk.

Paralia Marina Ormos Marathokampou
The beautiful pebble beach in Ormos is just a stone’s throw away, about 150 m, from Pantheon.
Nestled among the harbor’s fishing boats, the water is usually calm and clear.
Perfect for a morning swim before breakfast or an evening dip, followed by a visit to one of the village’s restaurants.
There are also several sun loungers and umbrellas for those wanting to relax a bit longer.
Paralia Ormos Marathokampou
Pebble beach a few hundred meters east of Ormos. The beach offers swimming in crystal clear water, sun loungers, umbrellas, and a snack stand.
After a pleasant day at this beach, you can return to Pantheon in five minutes.
Tripidi Christopetro Beach
A small scenic cove before reaching the long sandy beach in Kampos/Votsalakia.
The beach is located about 1.5 km from Pantheon, a good walking distance for a morning swim, evening swim, or beach lounging.
Votsalakia Kampos Beach
A sandy beach that stretches for several kilometers, equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas, and close to bars, restaurants, clothing stores, and shops.
The beach is between 2 and 3.5 km from Pantheon, depending on where on the beach you want to go.
Votsalakia Beach
A beautiful scenic, slightly smaller sandy beach, about 4 km from Pantheon, with cliffs surrounding the western part of the beach.
The beach is directly adjacent to Votsalakia Kampos Beach, separated only by a small headland. Like at Votsalakia Kampos Beach, sun loungers and umbrellas are available.
Psili Ammos Beach
A beautiful sandy beach, which is a little shallower than some of the other beaches, 6 km from Pantheon, offering everything from swimming surrounded by rock formations, swimming with sun loungers and umbrellas, to more secluded swimming further west.
All at the foot of Mount Kerkis, which looms in the background.
Limnionas Beach
A very beautiful, picturesque sandy beach with delightful surroundings. Here, there are sun loungers, umbrellas, and restaurants.
The beach is about 9 km from Pantheon.
Kaladakia Beach
Beautiful pebble beach, just under 6 km east of Pantheon, surrounded by rock formations with a smaller cave formation that is a bit tense and beautiful to swim into.
Sun loungers, umbrellas, and refreshments are available.
Balos Beach
A pebble beach with a small part of sandy beach. Here are sun loungers, umbrellas, and restaurants. The beach is about 7 km from Pantheon.
Beaches around Samos
Mourtia Beach
A slightly secluded idyllic beach, (sand/pebble) which is about 20 minutes by car from the main town of Vathi, “Samos town”.
On the mountain 400 m higher just north of the beach, you can glimpse the beautifully situated Zoodohos Pigi monastery.
Plaka Beach
A completely secluded sandy beach that can only be reached by boat or by four-wheel drive car, motorbike or of course by walking to the place.
You turn off the beautiful road towards Drakei down into the valley towards the beach which is visible far down from the road with the majestic Oros Kerkis in the background, but now from the other side compared to Ormos.
The journey from the Pantheon takes about 40 minutes as you have to drive slowly on the way down to the beach.
Tsamadou Beach
A very beautiful, well-visited pebble beach located two kilometers east of Kokkari, about 50 minutes by car from Pantheon Apartments & Studios. The beach has “full-service” in terms of restaurant, bar, sun-loungers, parasols and music.
Potami Beach
A pebble beach located on the north side of the island, about 2 km east of Karlovasi and about 30 minutes from the Pantheon.
The beach has access to restaurants, bar, sun-loungers and parasols. If you want to do something other than swim for a while, you can easily go up the beautiful valley towards Potami Waterfalls.
Megalo Seitani Beach
The sandy beach is reached by either walking about 1,5 hours from Drakei or walking about as long from just south of Potami, via Mikro Seitani Beach.
The route to walk is only about 4 km, but fall height and the paths of the path mean that it takes some time to both get down and back. The hike itself to the beach is a goal in itself, with fantastic views of the sea and the mountains.
At one end of the beach there are some inhabited holiday homes that are only reached from the seas, otherwise the beach is completely untouched without any service.
The journey along the road to Drakei, about 40 minutes from “Ormos”, is also an unforgettable journey, mountain formations, rock walls and outlook on the sea.
Mikro Seitani Beach
This little beautiful Pebble Beach, 50 meters wide, which forms the end of a less rocky valley is reached by walking about 30 minutes from just south of Potomi Beach.
You walk through a fantastic coastal landscape to finally arrive at the beach.
Car or motorcycle to Potami takes about 40 minutes, via Karlovasi.
Pappa Beach
Rocky and pebble beach just west of Ireon and not far from the airport.
Restaurants, sunbeds and parasolls available at the nice rocky beach.
