Ormos Marathokampou
Pantheon Apartments & Studios is located in the picturesque village of Ormos Marathokampou (”Ormos”). Ormos is an idyllic and relaxing fishing village with a marina, a number of nice restaurants, cafes, a bakery, and a cozy and a nice smaller Supermarket.
The restaurants serve good food and have friendly staff. In the eastern part of the harbour, to the left as you come from Pantheon, there is a nice pebble beach for pleasant morning or evening swims and a few hundred meters further on is another pebble beach with sunbeds, parasols and snacks.
How to get around
In Ormos Marathokampou, “Ormos”, everything you need during a holiday is within walking distance.
Restaurants, bars, cafes, bakery, supermarket are within 150 m from the Pantheon. The smaller beach in Marina is 150 m from the hotel, while the larger Ormos Marathokampou Beach is just under 500 m from the property. Both beaches are pebble with lovely clear water with sunbeds, umbrellas.
The distances in kilometers are not that big on Samos, but the fantastic surroundings with mountains, valleys and gorges means that it takes longer to get from one place to another than you usually expect. If you are interested in seeing more parts of the island or perhaps just want to easily and easily get to one or another beach that is some distance away, access to your own car or motorbike is preferable.
There are many car rental companies on Samos and also locally in and around Pantheon and Ormos. The car rental companies also rent out vespers, motorcycles and ordinary bicycles. With a regular bicycle, you get to the nearest beaches well if you only get over a hill or two, leading the bike or struggling uphill. Taxis are of course also available for shorter or longer trips.
